Lindsay and Seth purchased a group of four monograms from my Etsy shop. They all turned out beautiful, but I just love the G on this one so I had to share it!

American actress Lindsay Lohan is facing three months behind bars after she violated her 3-year-long probation on a drink driving charge. In 2007 the actress pleaded guilty to misdemeanour drug charges and three driving charges and spent 84 minutes in prison before her release. A judge in California said Lohan had failed to attend court-ordered alcohol education classes. The actress burst into tears as the verdict was announced. The surrender date is July 20, 2010.

Two girls who attended my high school were lost in the gunfire, one if them was a friend of mine. The families involved were affected forever. Mr. SE and I love cooking together. So it's no surprise that I was pumped when Mr. SE gave me a cooking class voucher for our anniversary. Our class was at the Viking School in Franklin (at The Factory). Mr. SE chose Date Night in Paris because I studied abroad there and LOVE the city. The class was made up of 6 couples and one chef. We were put into teams with another couple (4 persons) and each team made the entire meal. It was neat that we were able to do every aspect of the meal, not just one part.

I highly recommend Date Night to any couple, along with their other classes. This would be a great wedding/engagement gift too!{getting the stock ready for our coq au vin}
Our chef, Dale, had a great personality and made the class a lot of fun. The course was listed as 1 1/2 hours, but we were there for at least 3! Ps- they give you two bottles of wine as a class {flambee!! making our crepes suzette} {Mr. SE showing off his knife skills}

Inspired by this Luisa Beccaria spread that I first saw on coco + kelley, and by this lovely palette from Martha Stewart Weddings, I thought a lavender and red inspiration board made for a really wonderful summer wedding. It could certainly work in other seasons, but I like the way it feels in a garden setting, with fresh lavender and cherries. The muted almost-gray purple works as a nice backdrop for pops of real cherry red - feminine without being syrupy.

As a wedding photographer, today's bride Hayley wanted her wedding to be unique and unlike the other ones she's seen, and something full of candy and games! What could be more perfect for summer than a carnival-themed wedding? Not only is this wedding darling, with beautiful photos by Jessica Peterson, but it was also totally DIY! To keep costs down, and to keep everything more personal, family and friends pitched in to create Hayley and Joshua's summer carnival wedding...
Hayley's cousin Traci did all of the flowers for the wedding. Inspired by a designer dress that was out of her budget, Hayley had a local seamstress create one for her using the original as a starting point.
One of Hayley's favorite parts of the day was when her dad surprised the couple at their ring ceremony with a box of monarch butterflies. With the help of friends and family, the bride made 80 pink and white tissue paper pom poms to decorate the venue.
The bridesmaids wore J.Crew dresses that were on sale for more than half off.
The reception took place at a private residence that didn't charge the couple to use it for their wedding.
Hayley made candy girl trays from trays she found at Target, then spray painted white and covered with German glass glitter. She drilled holes in the sides and threaded ribbon through to create an old-fashioned concession look.
Renting a machine to make cotton candy themselves, instead of purchasing the cotton candy already made, saved some money, as did buying kettle corn in bulk from a local company.
The bride designed the stickers that embellished bags at the candy buffet.
Hayley and her friends made a fabric bunting that hung on the tent behind the food. She used the same fabric for the pillows on the blankets spread across the lawn.
Hayley's dad made the darling fishing game, which was made even better by a bubble machine!
