Baby feet theme carried through out Denise's baby shower, followed by games, sweets and punch. The balloon decorations, diaper cake and diaper wreath set the mood.
Title: Baby Shower 2010!
Sorry it took so long to upload! We had over 3 hours of footage so it took me a while to edit. And I'm so sorry a lot of the words are off from the picture, I have no idea how that happened! This baby shower was thrown by my side of the family on April 10, 2010 and Gabe's side will be throwing us one in May =) I was 30 weeks and 1 day pregnant and we had so much fun! Lilia got SO many things, especially clothes! We also got a bassinet, baby swing, infant bath tub, high chair, and a travel system so sorry I couldnt fit everything into the video! We played so many fun games and you'll see some of them in the vid. Enjoy! =)

Title: MGMT - Congratulations Music Video
Music video for MGMT's new song 'Congratulations', off their new album Congratulations. The music video is filmed in Phoenix and Scottsdale, Arizona, a part of the country that desperately needs some enlightenment about what is going on in the world. Please note, this is the unofficial video for the song.
My final project for my documentary class. I was asked to do something that tied together all the documentaries we had watched. So with the help of Kyle Ferchau, Jon Lewis, and Sam Saenz, I was able to make a film about passing on the information that you hear in documentaries and spreading the knowledge.

Lyrics:
[Verse 1: Drake]
Uh
Black hearts on my cardigan
At the crib telling ya girl that we should order in
Tell G to put his feet up on the ottoman
We just up against a bunch of rappers I go harder than
Damn
I'm so catch-trina smarter than a lot of these niggas
Swear the coach just brought the starter in
Yeah and I'm the type to tell ya daughter things
I float high, don't try and cut my water winnnnggggs
I'm still myself, suicide bars I kill myself
Charge it to the game, I'll bill myself and
I don't feel ya'll but I feel myselllf
[? ]Tell em' I deserve a mazeltov
I'm rappin like a shepherd with the muzzle off
I'm next to blowpause
And I can hear the critics talking over the applause
Yeah
I tried to tell em', Future let em' know
Send the haters all my loveX and O
I got a black box where suggestions go
But I don't really give a fuck
It's prolly best you know
My reality is brighter than ya dreams are
I gotcha dream girl riding in ya dream car
Yeah and the visual is stunning
I hope they document what I'm becoming
Congratulations
["oh" ad-libs]
[Verse 2: Drake]
So what you want- an award or somethin?
I'm at the private airport boarding somethin'
I see nothin' from afar but I'm far from nothin'
Put on your poker face
I'll pull ya card if ya bluffinnnnn'
But I ain't with the hard talk
I got a monopoly, catch me on my boardwalk
Like I said we pull ya card and find out you're a Hallmark
Just know I'm breakin world recordsno false start
I don't see your point unless it's gunpoint or somethin'
My deal like Weezy first week1.suttin'
And my verses getting stupider
Wayne if you're on Marscan you pick me up from Jupiterrrr?
Phone blowin' up, so I'm cuttin off my cellular
I'm a superstar, noted on to my nebula
I will break a leg, break an arm and a fibula
When I break it down
When I When I break it dow-ownnnn
I hug and kiss the drum kick
I put the beat in my back pocket and just sit
But you could never be my asspause
Again, damnit ya'll? Again?
Ya'll, pretend that we are some men that get it on and in
I'll die before I lose, cause I was born to win
If he don't fuck with ya'll, then don't bother him and
Yes, I fuck this game but I won't father them
Right... Uh
["oh" ad-libs]
[Verse 3: Drake]
It's like
These days man, I'm booked and I'm busy
Dad named me Drake, Footz named me Drizzy
They tried to tell me I'd never be nothing but a protégé
But if you watched the VMA's there's nothing more to sayyy
I got the key to happiness and all the copies
Remember this day like ya bought a poppy and
Damn how I get so nice?
I just spent it all once bout to get rich twice
Surprise party bitch now it's on and poppin'
I always choose dough like it's my only option
Cause money always knows best
Chain snatch flow they say get it off your chestttt
And I'm what all the fuss about and if they talking
I bet I'm what they discussion bout
Hit me at the officesame extension
Consider me the reason ya'll should pay attention
[Outro: Lil Wayne]
It's crack
A yo Drizzyyou shoulda said that on the hook
You shoulda been like: "congratulations"
It's crack

Congratulations

Title: My parents' wedding (April 20, 1960)
My mother and father (Carla and Sergio) loved each other so much that they died in the same year (2000) and at an early age for seniors (67 and 70, respectively).
As I was browsing through the family pictures lately, I decided that I should scan their wedding set for conservation purposes.
Then, quite a few days ago, I heard the song "What are you doing the rest of your life?" splendidly performed by Barbra Streisand and thought it was so fitting as a soundtrack for my parents' wedding pictures...and their life as a married couple, for that matter.
Making this slideshow was the obvious result, with a finale to match. Enjoy!

A few days ago a local news broadcast compared bouquet prices for Mother's Day floral arrangement. One of the florists was a local shop called Greenworks Florist. Their bouquet won hands down with folks roaming the mall and for good reason. Their arrangements are simply beautiful. I went to their web site to check out their wedding section. It was pretty good, but I was really moved by their arrangements in their "gifts for others" section. The folks in this shop are extremely creative and know how to put the blooms together. If you are a DC/VA/MD bride, you may want to check them out for your floral needs. Here are some of my favorites:

Title: Chris Knight - It Ain't Easy Being Me
Music video by Chris Knight performing It Ain't Easy Being Me. (C) 1997 UMG Recordings, Inc.
Croquembouche comes from the French words "croquant" meaning crunchy and "bouche" for mouth (Pronounced crow-come-bush) French for "cracks in your mouth." A cone of cream puffs filled with French pastry cream. Coated with carmelized sugar and decorated with elegant marzipan roses made petal by petal. Popular in France for weddings, communions and other occasions.
The croquembouche is often the dessert at a French wedding, baptism, christening, and other family gatherings. Its origins date back to the medieval tables of the French Royalty and Nobility. Croquembouche is decorative enough to be a centerpiece, and small enough to be suitable at even small dinners.
Everyone here is preparing for spring break. The gym is packed and tanning salons have their springy waiting lines. Our break starts next Friday, and college students all over the country and planning fantastic vacations to beaches everywhere. Wouldn't I love to be on a warm beach, with my toes in the sand. (it didn't slow this girl down)
What's that? I can't walk on the beach with these crutches? Oh right- I'll be having ankle surgery for spring break. My 4th ankle surgery! In high school I was a cheerleader and rocked that curly weave like no other. But I rolled my ankle before a competition and the rest is history. I had a surgery my freshman, sophomore, and senior year. It's been awhile since the last one, but I'm still unable to walk minimal distances (read: 30 min shopping) without intense pain and the feeling that I'm going to fall. Oh, and I can't bend my left leg forward at the ankle. Cute.
So I'll be driving home Thursday night and having surgery on Friday morning. What a stellar way to start spring break, right? I'm going to bring home plenty of reading material and cross my fingers that I don't have an allergic reaction to pain medication again. FYI: swollen face and medical observation is not the best way to snag a date with a Hopkins med student. Low point.
Hopefully this will be my last surgery. I'm not trying to be a bionic pentathlon superstar; I just want the opportunity to run around with my kids or enjoy a trip to Europe.
